5 Date Night Dinners at Disney World

Are you heading to Disney World on an adults only trip and looking for a great date night dinner option? Maybe you’re off on a family vacation but want to have one romantic dinner without the kids. Either way, Disney has lots of options for date night dinners both in the parks and at resorts. You don’t need to be staying at the resort to visit the restaurant located there. When planning your date night at Disney World, here are my top 5 recommended restaurants!

5. Garden View Tea Room

The Garden View Tea Room is a must do for Alex and I. We have afternoon tea every single trip. The Tea Room is at the Grand Floridian, so we usually plan an afternoon break on our Magic Kingdom day and hop the monorail over to the resort. We enjoy tea, finger sandwiches, scones, dessert and a walk around the Grand Floridian. The gardens outside are beautiful, and the resort itself is pretty magical. This is the most laid back of all the recommendations on this list. It’s totally acceptable to show up in your park clothes for tea, though we usually dress up just a little. And while not exactly a date NIGHT event (tea is served from noon until 4pm daily) it is a great day date location!

4. Monsieur Paul

Monsieur Paul is a great date night dinner location at Disney World. Formerly Bistro de Paris restaurant, Monsieur Paul is recently refurbished and located just upstairs from Les Chefs de France, the other gourmet French restaurant in the France Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. There is a dress code, which in my mind means it’s perfect for date night. Sometimes you need a reason to dress up, and a dress code certainly provides that! The menu is classic French cuisine made with local (seasonal) ingredients. If you’re able to snag a window-side table, do it! The view is beautiful!

Here’s the dress code for Monsieur Paul:

Men must wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and collared shirts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Sport coats are optional. Women must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses or dress shorts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Not permitted are tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

3. California Grill

Another great date night dinner option at Disney World is California Grill, located at the Contemporary Resort. Enjoy gourmet dining with a spectacular view of Cinderella’s castle. Try to make a reservation around fireworks time for the perfect viewing location. You can even bring your receipt back and watch the fireworks if you dined at California Grill earlier that day!

If you aren’t a date NIGHT fan, California Grill also offers a beautiful brunch! Enjoy live music while sipping on complimentary mimosas throughout the brunch. The menu includes charcuterie, sushi, inspired salads and seasonal brunch entrees made from the freshest ingredients—there’s something for even the most discriminating palate. For your convenience, complimentary valet parking is available for this event!

2. Flying Fish

Flying Fish is located on the Disney Boardwalk, which as a whole is a perfect spot for a Disney World date night! You’ll find a menu full of sophisticated seaside meals. You can watch the chefs in the open kitchen create your dishes. Again, there is a dress code (the same as Monsieur Paul’s). But you already know my feelings on dress codes for date nights.

There are plenty of other things on the Disney Boardwalk to enjoy on a date night, which is what brings Flying Fish so high on my list! Grab a drink at Abracadabar, enjoy some ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery, rent a bicycle built for 2 and cruise around the Boardwalk, end the night dancing at Atlantic Dance Hall or enjoying a laugh at Jellyrolls, a dueling piano club.

1. Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s is the epitome of romantic date night dinners at Disney World. It’s stunning, spectacular, unique, and pricey. But if it fits in your budget, it’s 100% worth the experience. Enjoy a seat in the Dining Room, Queen Victoria’s room or the Chef’s Table. Victoria & Albert’s has a very strict dress code: Men must wear dinner jackets with dress pants or slacks and shoes. Ties are optional. Women may wear a cocktail dress, nice dress, dressy pant suit or a skirt with a blouse.Jeans, shorts, capri pants, sandals, flip-flops or tennis shoes are not permitted.

If you’re looking for the perfect special occasion dinner, this is what you’re looking for. Whether you’re celebrating your anniversary or looking for a place to pop the question, Victoria & Albert’s will give you the romantic atmosphere you’re looking for!
